The Huntly Football Netball Netball Club would love to congratulations to Jenna Baker on playing her 200th game for the club on Saturday 15th of April against Elmore at Staunch Reserve!
Jenna stepped on the court for the Hawks for the first time in 2010 as an under 17 player playing for the Premiership winning C grade team.
The club has been very family orientated for Jenna, from being coached by her mum when she joined the club, Co-captaining the 2018 A Reserve team which she played in with her niece and she continues to coach the juniors with her sister Tara.
Although Jenna started in the club as a defender she has cemented herself as one of the most reliable goalers over the years. In 2015 Jenna was awarded the A Reserve best and fairest award. She has been selected and represented our club in the interleague Netball side.
Coming off a really successful year as B Grade captain in the 2019 finals team Jenna and Will used the year off in 2020 to start their own family as they welcome Mini Hawkette, Eleanor Rae. In 2021 Jenna returned to the court and was an integral part and leader of the A Reserve team.
Jenna was ready to hit this milestone midway through this season when it was abruptly cut short because of COVID.
Jenna’s face was around the courts every week in 2022 but she didn’t take the court as she welcomed baby George into the world and the Huntly family!
Jenna is and has always been a role model on the court with great direction and extensive knowledge of the game.
